Jess picked me up from my perch on a large green sofa and immediately set the tone for the day. Friendly, funny and passionate, Jess is in charge of talent acquisition and seems to be acquiring quite a talented team.
When probed for a bit of advice for our candidates she explained that as well as a related degree (inc. maths and economics) she wanted to see a passion for digital. Handily I had published a blog on this subject the day before but she also mentioned wanting to see something demonstrable such as starting your own website.
In giving me a brief overview she mentioned how charity focused MoneySupermarket was and reeled off just some of the events they are involved in: dragon boat racing, the 3 Peaks Challenge, and the Royal Parks Half Marathon.
This involvement in charity aligned with how the company monitors its success. MoneySupermarket measures progress by how much money they are saving their customers and this altruistic theme would rear its head time and again.
Jess also mentioned the social team and what they were up to, with their most recent campaigns being the acquisition of a pool table and organising a circus-themed summer party. For those of you who are interested, Jess is going as a lion.
